about 90% sure this will be one of the 2 tow vehicles this year for the gap. Between 2 of us we are hauling 5 bikes, so this will carry the (planned) project rd, cb1100 and the kawi 120. and all the gear, i think, maybe.  Had to hand build the hitch, pretty much from scratch.

I have a feeling even if you could have went to U-hall you still would have done this. you don't seem like an "off the shelf" guy. 

to bad but that looks perfect, maybe I will try and copy. Every bike I see with pipes is either leaning way to far over on the side stand or it is handing down to far for me.

Yes, you are correct on the location. 5K, not a chance. like you said it would cost you a lot to get it back on the road. I may need to keep an eye out for one. Back in the day, I had a good friend with an SR500 and really liked it, this looks like the next step up.

I had a 81 750F and just about 4 months ago saw an 1100F for sale. Almost got it but an FJ caught my eye.
still LOVE that look, tank and side covers and tail pc.

When I was a kid, I knew a guy with a 500 and one crazy guy with a 750 who lived up the street from me. could always hear him coming and going unmistakable with the chambers on.

I always wanted to ride one, especially a 750.

So with no rooms my plan was to camp at the gap using my motorcycle camper I have. I looked up on the DG website and they say no campers of any kind. I emailed them and no reply yet. I am sure they will reply but was seeing what you guys thought, will they allow this? it is not big, in fact smaller footprint than a lot of tents i have seen. I don't want to sleep on the ground. If they will not allow it I will need to start looking for a room in the area. This one does not belong to me but it is the same.

I have seen them and thing they did a good job with it making it look like a CB.

I have seen your comments about newtronics and respect that. having said that, I had that on my bike and swore it was jetting/carbs. seemed too rich. Chuck fount it to be an issue with the ignition. Between resister plugs, resistor wire caps and week signal that was the issue.
just adding my real life experience.
