It's not to difficult. I have never had to move a bike from one Island to the next. However, a former colleague from Maui used to send his Harley back for summer vacation. He would drop it off at Honolulu harbor and it would be shipped to (I believe) Kahului harbor for pick up.

You are correct, my brother lives on the Big Island and has moved cars around, its way easier to move between islands than to ship it back to California unless you are shipping it along with enough other stuff to fill a small container.

It's been listed in So Cal in CL off and on for quite a while. The ad is almost the same as the HI version with a couple text changes (included a portion below)
Currently priced at $6999 in the HI ad and $8250 in the CA ad

Yes, I think it was a good deal. I did pay the asking price. There were a couple of guys who also wanted it. I was surprised no one tried to pay a little more just to get it.

Anyway, your right. The bike will probably never make back to California. It's going to be a Hawaiian ripper.
