Ordered new tires to replace the original Yokohamas. Had to search wide and far to find the original sizes as there isn't a lot of room for anything bigger. It's cleaning up quite well for being 53 years old and original. It runs really good and everything works as it should. I'd like to find some stock turn signals, but no rush on them. I'm thinking leak down test is next. It has 1614 miles on it!

You still scored. That's actually pretty cheap for a bike in that condition with so few miles.

Yeah Russ, after further research I think I did well! BTW do I have to split cases for crank seals?

Never done it but I don't think so. It's a vertical split case so I'm pretty sure you can just pull out the old ones and push in the new. The OE seals are smooth on the OD (no ridges). Below is some info on seals for it. The right crank seal is no longer available from Yamaha but you can get all of them from Yambits or CMSNL

So I sent the wheels off to my wheelsmith for truing, polishing and new rubber. It was apparent when I took the wheels off the mileage is true. I can't find any evidence of anyone @#$#@*&^ stuff up. As good as it runs I'm just going to do a thorough cosmetic clean up and ride it!
