Fellow 2SW members, a Big "Hello"
Based in Central NJ, ride a 74 RD350.
Here to learn & support!
Tri state areas folks! I am sure we'll have opportunities to meetup!

getting ready for this season, my mechanic retired, any recommendations in Central NJ or Bucks county?
most of them are 2 hours away by the shore or far out in PA.

Cheers!

Brad-Man

Welcome Bluesmokez!

Sorry I can't help with a mechanic, but aside from machine work you should be able to handle everything else with reading and  ideo guidance.

I've done almost everything on my RD's with my only other mechanical experience r&r auto engines, rebuilding them and normal drum and disk brake work and installing shocks and headers/exhaust.  This only on my own cars.

It's rewarding to do it yourself - and become part of the machine...;).

Thank you Brad-Man.
appreciate your response and encouragement.
Yes, I do things like timing, oil change, electricals, mechanical cables etc ..myself.
Just that when it comes to tires, rims, brakes I need the help of a mech or extra hands.
I hope to eventually build up my tool sets too.
this forum has wealth of information, and people are willing to help.
yes the experience of DIY is immersive, and you become part of the machine :)

Welcome aboard.

Any members know if Eric (202wagon) is still doing work?  He would be within distance of the OP for mechanic work.

I'm on the wrong coast to help with local shops, but welcome

Yes, that is who I was referring to.  I haven't been in contact with him for a few years now.  His "shop" was out of his house last I knew.
