If you get on the phone with Gary again I suggest you not tell him you have non-Spec2 pipes on your bike.  He will tell you his port work and his pipes are designed to work together.  Discuss with him if you please, I have made my suggestion.

I have the Retro JL pipes on my RD350. They look good but the collector/header design is poor. The o-ring doesn't seal properly and needs to be addressed, mine is not and it make a real mess. They do make great torque between 4200-7000rpm, but nothing after (stock cylinders with uni pods). I feel they make more torque than the DG. I have never tried the fancy JL, but I believe the collectors are the same poor design.

I agree they look super cool, would love to hear how they perform.

I bought a set of K2Tec pipes for my KH400.

Type1 style in mild steel.  Quality and fit were very good.  No complaints.

I got them from webike.com  Shipping was about $100 and took about a week from when I ordered them.

Great sound, when I asked about these awhile back someone posted they were popular with some Kawasaki's.
