I was going through some of my past RD wrenching photos and came across these from when I was cleaning a set of Mikini 1A1 carbs for a 400. This is a great example of why you should always completely disassemble a carb for cleaning. Spraying carb cleaner through it or running it through an ultrasonic tank with the jet tube in place will not get it clean.

Yep! Such a key component of cleaning carbs. I use to just "clean the carbs" by spraying through the main and pilot jet and pretty much ignored everything else.
Do not underestimate the power of a two-stroke.
