What ever paint you use, baking it on there at 200-250 degrees for 0-45mins seams to make it a lot tougher.

The baking is a great idea. But let the paint cure for a bit before the bake process. I put a set of calipers in the barbecue immediately after paint and then got to do a redo.

i have a small toaster oven committed to the garage, low heat, long time, cures it right up. 200-250 as said.

Ed Toomey is going to put the finishing on my cylinder and heads when done with the Stage 2 porting and boring.

I've used PJ1 paint in the past. I now use VHT Caliper paint.
First, I let the parts and the paint can sit in the sun for a while so they're both warmed up, then spray.
After sitting for 30min or so I put them into the pre-heated gas BBQ on low. The temp is usually in the 225-250F range. And like Ken I don't place the parts right on the regular grill. I have an old scrap of wood I set them on, and if they're small I place the whole setup on the upper baking rack if possible.
Then I let them bake for 30-60 min.
