Webco heads- leave domes as manufactured or machine/polish?

I have several Webco heads (including RD) and some NOS. All have domes that are not super smooth or shiny as most production heads I've ever had. I always thought combustion domes were supposed to be super smooth for best performance. Is there consensus on simply running the Webcos as-is or is it necessary to polish them? I'm NOT chasing MAX performance or state of tune here and would likely never notice when riding either way.

As long as you don't have burrs or anything that will cause hot spots I wouldn't worry about it.
