I understand.
I'll run the bike as the 250 w/ stock gearing and chain for now.

When I finally do switch-over to the 350 top-end,I'll then use a 520 O-ring and aluminum alloy rear sprocket. Mark, can you recommend a hard-alloy aluminum rear sprocket that'll give you good life ?

Can you tell me if you've ever run a 530 O-ring chain on a 73-75 RD250/350,and was it able to have enough clearance to clear the cases, etc. ?

i have not, i have seen it done and it ground the case. theres really no need for it on these TBH. the ones from economy are really good, any of the modern ones from reputable sellers will last just fine. ive had the same one ont he lc for over 10 years. (albeit its a 525 but thats another story completely), and the 70 R5 has had one on for 7? years

Which chain and rear sprocket(520 O-ring?)do you run on the 70' R5 ?
Does the RD350LC have the same bolt pattern as the 73-75' RD350 ?

Mark, I've been checking and it looks like the 73-75' RD250 & 350s are the only ones which use that bolt pattern rear sprockets?
