Was driving to lunch today saw kid on skateboard, thought to myself haven't seen a kid on board in years. When I got closer saw he was on one of these, had never seen before, now coincidently saw this on CL.  https://orlando.craigslist.org/mcy/d/nalcrest-onewheel-xr/6991996424.html

No-one skateboards in Orlando?

This is what I think of "one wheeler":

Saw one about an hour ago cruising down the sidewalk. Not that rare here. There's a guy who rides one to work everyday

You would be surprised how much those OG completes are worth these days, Russ.

Saw a guy on a one-wheel today.

Pic I posted is Steve "Salba" Alba at my home park Winchester Skatepark, Campbell (San Jose) CA, late 1978.  Pic by Jim Goodrich.

LOL, I'll be 52 in a couple of months.  Started skateboarding around 1977.  Skated my first backyard pool and 22' fullpipe when I was 9 ... etc.

Still hit the skateparks every so often, but I'm a lot slower to get up when I slam.

That OG Beamer is super cool, and those slalom/DH boards are set up to win races circa 1978.  Gullwings for tight courses, and Strokers for DH (because they barely turn and are super stable).  :cheerleader:

I envy you that you can still hit the skateparks! I'm going on 55 and can't even step on those slalom/downhill
boards as I don't weigh 135 pounds anymore Lol...!

It's great to see that there are some old school skate terrors on this board that are still doing it.

Cheers!

Joe

BTW: I put extra heavy springs in the strokers to slow the turning response. The deck came from Terry
Nails who crashed on strokers at the signal hill downhill back in '78(?) in a coffin skatecar. Good times!

pdxjim

Yep, I remember the Stroker skatecar was fast but no match for Henry Hesters White Lightning.

Still have all my old mags from then.

OG Skaters just need something like this.
