I painted the frame today, 2-3 coats of tractor light grey.

Tomorrow the build up begins.... :celebrate:

Images to follow when there's something to see.

Got some done yesterday...

Swingarm installed along with the front end and oil tank.

Like an idiot, I forgot the lower head bearing race spacer, I hammered home the race and then the head sat on the lower yoke...bugger. Tricky to bash out again.....it's been so long since I built it up I forget the details. All done now though. :)

Bit more done on final fit n finish, detailing takes time, but I quote enjoy it tbh.

Lower shock mount with cap head and dome nut on the showside. Came out OK for a single sheer mount, I think it'll be strong enough?

Top mount with irregular stainless spacers in place and stock Honda shock dome nut, neat I reckon?

Rear light and rear seat mount in place....spot the household item I repurposed?

Another view of the rear light including the inner 400/4 mudguard in Wurth stonechip for that matt black durable finish.

Not bad for a few hours today :)

Thanks for checking in.

Investigating the slack kicker......potentially the tension spring had sprung it's fixing. I have a spare so will give it a go tomorrow.

Rear brakes are getting my attention, ordered a smaller reservoir to fit inside the V frame area.

Badass.

I like this build, pulling lots of ideas from it. So thanks!

Brake master mount detailing.....just awaiting a new reservoir and tube to re-bleed.

Engine is now mounted and stitched up....my home made engine mounts appear to be working....hope they are strong enough when under torque?

Here's a couple of pictures of an engine in place...heheh!

And, I'm pleased with the way this complicated area is turning out, neat enough I reckon.

Cleaning up the Microns next....need to fab another rear mount both sides.

Thanks for checking in.

That's the RD350LC Microns cleaned up good enough to slot onto the GT200 modified port mounts.
Really didn't want to overdo restoring, being as they're in good used nick.....just a bit of surface rust, wire brushed and treated with WURTH Rust Converter.
Then a good go on the black enamel with Autosol and Silvo on the semi-shiney end cans.
They bear the signs of a previous life which i want to keep.

Got to have a bush made up 19o/d x11.8mm i/d made up...unless I can find some thickwall steel tube, for the rear brake pedal pivot. Also, have a couple of tophat spacers turned shorter on the rear axle....so the rear wheel can be installed....but not before I prime the oil pump first. Lots to do :)

Fiddly jobs today:

Filled and bled the oil feed tank and pump all primed with oil in the manifold feed pipes flowing, so all good I hope.

Throttle cables installed and openings set.

Love the sight glass!  :bacon:

Yeah, pleased with it.....the outlets just squeezed through the
old filter to airbox oval opening in the filter box. :)

20 days since the painted frame was ready to build up.

Today was a good day. Matthew, my son came up to finalise the electrics, modify the loom, add a shut off relay for the handlebar run/stop switch as well a re-run the loom around the frame.
Everything works!!

Got the engine fired up too...yay! It's running up too fast, but tweeking the carbs/throttle will see it behave.

Rear wheel in and will tighten so the R clip will sit nicely, but chain could do with a link removing.

I couldn't resist throwing the bodywork on just to get a look

Still a good few jobs to do.....thanks for checking in.
