Holy Hell, this is HOT!

Just released footage from Pickathon 2017.

Soo much soul in this man and the band
That was fun!
RIP Mr. Bradley, Ms. Sharon Jones and Ms. Winehouse...

This was their best album.  I listened to this over and over just like black flag jealous again!

Yup.

I got the "How Could Hell ..." LP in about 1983 when I was 15.

The 90's records "Suffer" and "No Control" were pretty goo, but the rest all sound the same to me.

My bud Chris (guitar/lead vocs in the vid) finally uploaded this 22 year old footage from my old garagepunk band The Teeth.

I'm playing bass.

Do you still play, Jim?

I've always loved this. Bob Rivers, Seattle-area rock radio guy and twisted tunes creator, would have bands visit his actual home garage and play. According to the liner notes, his neighbors would bring lawn chairs and park in the cul-de-sac to enjoy. That, to paraphrase Kevin Schwantz, would be the coolest thing known to mankind.

The chatter at the beginning always makes me laugh. Remember, you're chilling in a lawn chair on a summer evening outside your neighbor's garage!

That sounds like a lot of fun, Wade!

Seen the Melvins many times.  One time sticks out in my mind ... I was wearing shorts and standing near the PA stacks and it was so fcuking loud, I distinctly remember feeling the air pushing out of the speakers blowing my leg hair back.

Here's OFF!

Really curious how live rock n' roll will survive the Covid.  The thought of jostling around a sweaty club just seems so ....

Sweet rig Dennis.  :metal:

I've sold off most of my good sh!t to buy motorcycles and parts, but still have:

1986 Rickenbacker 360 Tuxedo (one of 200)
2000 Fender Jazz Bass MIM (replaced the '74 Jazz I'm playing in "The Teeth" video I sold to buy a motorcycle)
Many, many miscellaneous '60-'80's MIJ guitars (Teisco, Univox Pro, Kent, etc)

Early 70's Fender Bassman 50 head and matching cab (has a vintage JBL D140F 15" in it now, but also have a pair of "green back" Celestion 12" for it)
Mid 70's Ampeg V4-B head and shitty Crate cube with a Peavy Black Widow 15".
Tons of vintage analog stompbox pedals, etc.

Just got a newish compact Pearl Traveller drum kit and have all the PA gear, keys, etc.  Just wish I had more time/energy/desire to play.  We used to have Family Jam Friday Nights in the basement, but have gotten out of the habit.

I miss being in bands, but not much time these days.

Jim, one of my garages is stacked to the rafters with vintage tube amps! Fender, Marshall, Mesa, Ampeg, McIntosh(stereo stuff). I've always had a hard time selling stuff! People come and lowball it and I usually tell them to #@$% off.

You two should meet in the middle somewhere and jam. Might I suggest an old barn in, say, Chehalis?

Went to the Hall & Oats with Squeeze show the other night. Daryl seemed to take a bit to get going but did good. Squeeze blew everyone away, what a tight band.  :olaf:
