Lads!

sussed it. replaced the points and condenser, points were not that bad, so cudos to barrie. started third kick and first thereafter.

so, so summarise, what can appear to be a flooding problem at starting, can indeed be an electrical problem.

cheers for all the help, on to one of my other three projects now.
