Can the oil pump from a RD 350 be used on a RD 400?  I know that the pumps are different externally, drive ratio's, etc, but with the proper drive gear will the 350 pump work on a 400 engine?  I have three or four 350 pumps and a fellow on the Forum needs a pump for his 400 but has been unable to find one.  Can we configure one of my 350 pumps to work on his engine???

Yes, of course. A priming wheel pump can be made non priming wheel type if required. The internal gear can be changed and the pulley type changed, the latter is sync'd to the type of carbs. used. All possible.
Sounds like you will need a 1A0 pulley (rocking horse shit here in the UK) needs to be screw retained as opposed to roll pin retained.
