Ohh Damn, that looks just like Carter Alsop's bike, the Same color, seat but her's was full superbike, instrument housings but tach only.    I built a few parts for it and pitted for her at Daytona.  It was a fun time, she was awesome to work for.

Took the RS250 for a quick blast to verify everything is working good, and ready to go back to its home in a few weeks

Tuning Works in the UK sent my RS250 Challenge Cup some early Christmas presents.  :whoop:
Have a crank and some other parts still in Japan waiting to be shipped.
Hope to have my RS ready for some track days next year, after I get my RZV back together again.

Tree was from my bachelor days, although it's not the only one in the house anymore for Christmas

Another one back to life again...
A seized piston from clogged jet (rust in tank) sidelined this RZV for about 1 1/2 years.
I was so pissed off, I didn't even want to deal with it...
But...I had to eventually

Thanks
It's the first time I can remember that every two stroke I have can start and run (if I had fuel in them)... :celebrate:
Although my TZR needs to have carbs pulled, water lines disconnected, and fix the leaking needle seat seals. (That's next on the table)

The more posts I see from Randy the more I keep thinking I need to swing by Northern Indiana sometime for a visit and some bench racing at his compound. What a cool place!
Unfortunately I don't get out to that area very often.

The 500 sounds really really good. And of course looks great like all of your bikes.

What air filters are you running?

I assisted Wilson Performance developing/fitting this system onto the 500 with stock carburetors. It works quite well. But would require significant re-jetting if you are on the standard airbox.

The door is always open to a two stroke lover, although there really is nothing to do in the area I live.... Corn fields mean most roads are straight and flat (great for drag racing) so kind of boring. But I can talk about motorcycles all day long

I am using the stock ears over the carbs, and Uni's on the ends....stock airbox would be easier to jet, I know.... 240 mains, 30 pilots, O-0 needle jet, Atchison needles. 1.2 air jets.
Have always liked your modern interpretation of the RZV.... Being able to see all 4 chambers is impressive

What a machine!

Thanks
It is a lot more work than it's really worth though....or at least it has been so far.
I wouldn't recommend one, unless you have nothing else to maintain in the garage

I was growing quite tired of the complexity of the late model strokers I had been trying to keep running over these years/
Wanted something dead simple like a weed eater motor.
So for the past 9-12 months I started a search on and off for a bike.

Of all the old skool style singles, the early TS Suzuki looked the best...plus all the folklore about the early TM models locked in my interest.
Bike was in Michigan most all its life by the same owner (the title is from a Detroit bank dated 1974) and used as an ice racer. The tires on it have hundreds of screw holes.....

Next step is finding either Suzuki or high quality bits to do a full engine rebuild, and trans bearings/seals too....
Then cables, fork seals, chassis bearings/bushings...
...and see if I can get one of the two tanks in better shape.

Will also be looking for another set of hubs, so I can swap out the 18/19 wheels/tires for daily street use.

Cool! Low miles too. Interesting, pretty low-revving for a 2-stroke
