As far as I know it's like a lot of the other Daytona bits -- one-model-only-parts, not used on any other US models.

However, the same part was used on RD400s in Canada (3J7) in 1979-80, EU (2R8/2R9), and Oceania (3M3/3M4) models.

I'll keep an eye out for you. It seems I saw one for sale somewhere not too long ago, but at the time I wasn't really looking for one so I didn't make a mental note.

What are your plans for the DG takeoff arm? If you're considering selling it let me know.

I found an old post where Mark ("m in sc") said an XS400 arm will swap into a Daytona. Maybe Mark can confirm this is true, even though the part number is different?
RD400F:      2R8-22110-00-33
XS400 E/F:  2L0-22110-00-33

The arms do look very similar. And the rear wheel and axle are the exact same parts. However the pivot shaft looks different and is a different part number.  There's got to be some difference since Yamaha didn't just use the same part number.

99 % its for sure the same. even with the weird ass rear brake hanger etc. Im not aware of any functional or cosmetic differences. even uses the same mags.

I installed a XS360 1976 swing arm on one of my Daytona , it's one inch longer and look better . The rear wheel stay at the same heigh since the shocks are angled and bolted a little bit higher . Just need a new torque arm bracket . Daytona pic on top , XS360 lower .

I know someone who would be very interested in those parts.

Hi,
I have a couple of european model RD250/400E/F swingarms which are identical to the Daytona one. But I am in Germany.

There are a LOT of parts from the XS400 and other XS models that fit the Daytona.
