being as most of you are yamaha officianados, can anybody tell me if banshee reeds are the same size as normal rd350lc reeds, please  :help:
cheers, gil.
p.s. i've got normal rd350lc reeds in my suzuki gt reed valve engine. only cheapo ones, but they worked long enough to get the engine running fairly right.

thanks for the info peeps, but that last one muddled me up a bit. i'm nearly sure my reeds and cages were for an rd350lc, but the ypvs model, whether that makes a difference? anyway i've messaged the seller and the dual stage reeds he's sending me are the correct size. they also fit some of the dt models. one thing when i built the whole reed assembly was i always put 3 bond on the gaskets. i don't like air leaks in that area. but when i removed the reed blocks, both the aluminium cage faces and the gasket faces were clean as a whistle - no 3 bond to be seen anywhere, which was odd. mounting holes on my reed cages are 58mm x 48mm :guinness:
cheers, gil.
p.s. great emoji, because as soon as i post this i'm going for a few. i love guinness.

thanks again for the info. mark: i've got some v-force reeds in my watch list, but i'm going to try the dual stage reeds first and see how she runs. this might sound like a daft question, but not being at all savvy with setting carbs up [definitely my weak point], would changing from normal single petal to dual stage reeds involve different jetting?
rd400, thanks for the link, but i tried copying it so i could enlarge it, but my software doesn't recognise the file header and won't show it. i tried jpg, bmp and png, but to no avail. unfortunately, even with my magnifying glass i can't read the figures on the pictures. thanks for trying anyway  :haw:
cheers, gil.

I know this was addressed to Mark. But, a simple Reed change would mean no change to jetting all other things considered the same.

When you start changing cages, ports, squish band, etc. Then you get into rejetting.

with boyesens, yes it can affect it. they even mention it in the instructions. (might run a bit richer). But otherwise no difference. and in most cases with boyesens it doesnt matter either.
