Jetting: 2-1 KN v Uni Pods?

Do 2x Uni Pods flow more air than a 2-into-1 K&N? Enough to require up-jetting the pilots/mains?

the jetting, IMHO in experience, is always pretty close between the k&N y boot and 4-5" all foam unis.

Related but unrelated question: (within the acceptable range of airscrew turns) is there any benefit to using a larger pilot jet, or is that just wasted gas?

Hypothetical ex:
(1) Airscrew: 1 turn, pilot 37.5
(2) Airscrew: 2 turns, pilot 40

Assuming that 1 and 2 both have the same optimal fuel/air ratio, would having more fuel+air from setup #2 have better performance/torque at low speeds over #1? Common sense seems to imply that more gas = bigger bang, but not sure it's that simple.

jet for the needs and keep it between 1 1/4-1 3/4 on the airscrew. the position of the airscrew will tell you if your jet is too big or too small. the airscrew setting between those settings is for optimal speed of the circuit flow.  if you need to be out 2 turns +, pilot is too big. if under 1, too small. its that simple.
IN that situation, which is highly unlikey, id go with the 40 because of closed throttle decel needs. always err on the rich.
