Stop Lamp Checker

On my RD350 wiring diagram the stop lamp is wired to the brown keyed 12v, so the stop lamp checker thing must be a relay to ground, similar the the way the neutral light is wired. If you have 12v in the green/white wire from the checker something does not right.

You could bypass the checker and wire the yellow into one side of the stop lamp and remove the brown and replace with a ground. Then the stop lamp will work like a brake light and you will just have to check your brake light is working manually.
