I was on this site when it originated with this ole girl. I've had her (yes, it's in its original frame again so...technically it's the same bike I've had 30 + years) forever in one form or another. She is currently under the knife once again. Hopefully to be properly dialed in. Not a show queen, a rider. Love this bike!

Trying to work a deal to get this from my son's best friend. Only fair since I was the one that told him to buy it. He wants something faster.

My 4 stroke blasphemy 1988 FZR400/600 is in the foreground of that last pic. Wanted FZR 400 since 1988 so had to buy that. Fun bike.

I was going to ask about it!  I recognize that aluminum fzr400 Deltabox frame!

Yep. The trans shaft threads disappeared last October when it spit the front sprocket nut off. Tearing the engine down to swap that tranmission assembly is NOT something I'll have time for anytime soon. So...bought a used engine for it this morning. Hopefully back together Friday if the planets align properly.  Took about 4 hours to get to the point  shown in pic. I wish I had a proper garage to support my addiction.

What do you have for a rear rim on that FZR?

That's a Honda CBR F4i wheel. Also has a full CBR F4i rear brake swap. My buddy helped with all of the necessary machine work. Now runs a 17" rear wheel with a 160 section tire.  Easier to find sticky rubber for this canyon carver. He then powder coated both wheels white to match and powder coated all the brake calipers red to match each other.  Front calipers are 4 pot Nissin from a Triumph that bolt on stock FZR400 fork legs. I gotta get some time to stuff the engine back in. ☹

Curious on what swingarm your running? I'm also looking to upgrade the front brake caliper on my RD400F.

DaytonaCafe, was wondering what front fender you are running?  That looks really nice as does the entire bike!
