I have the vintage smoke rear sets for the rd400 c/d/e models. I remember a couple years ago when I installed them having the banjo bolt thread in with difficulty. I used the supplied banjo/ brake light switch from VS. Did I get the wrong pitch one, and can anybody confirm what brembo master is used for this? Google images show it looks similar to a 2007-2008 yamaha r1 rear master. Intimidated to take the bolt out without having the correct parts on hand. Haven't been able to get a reply from Nick at VS for a couple years

This isn't the answer you're looking for but it's an alternative. There are two sizes that I know of for brake banjo bolts.  1.0 pitch and 1.25 pitch.  If you have a spare banjo bolt sitting around and are not sure about the pitch, go to a hardware store and they have a board where you can insert the bolt and determine its pitch. Next, you can remove the banjo from the caliper and check to see if the thread pitches match.  If they match, you have the replacement.  If not, look around for another bolt or buy one.

1.25 is a finer pitch compared to 1.0.

if it s brembo, its probably m10x1, if its not (pretty sure it isn't) its m10x1.25.  just pull it out, worst case it getting another rear master, or helicoiling it (yes it can be done).

my guess is its probably just fine. it would have been a VERY hard squeeze to get a 1.0 vs a 1.25 in the hole or vice versa.

your rear shock nuts are m10x1.25 for reference. I have no idea what happened to Nick, talked to him regular for years then poof.

The 13mm Brembo rear I have here (not from Nick) is a M10x1.0. The brake switch banjo I have for it is a Goodridge PBL992-31CH

Grew a pair and removed the goodridge banjo pressure switch. Yup was the wrong pitch. Great. Rear shock nut threads on fine. Found an email from nick and he gave me the wrong part number for the switch. Pbl992-32ch. Oh well it doesn't leak so I will keep it like this until it does. Just for future reference these brembo masters take m10x1.0 thread pitch
