I think this is going to be another long painful season for Yamaha! They sucked last year and it sounds like they made almost no improvement steps in the offseason. In 2023 Yamaha was winless for the first time in 20 years, and their riders were only able to get 3 podiums all season (#20 had 3 3rds).  At the winter tests it sounded like they didn't make any aero changes, and Fabio was still complaining about being way behind in qualifying trim which has been their main problem lately. Without good one-lap pace you end up way back on the grid for the start with little chance to move up through the field.  I predict this will be Quartararo's last season at Yamaha, he's going to bail for a better bike in 2025. Yamaha better get their act together!

Acosta is probably going to be the next Marquez. He's fast right out of the gate as a rookie, and he's already a proven champion in the lower classes. It will be interesting to see how he does with the RC16 during the season.

Ducati is going to be the bike to beat...again. They were superior last season, winning 17 of 20 races, and rumblings at the test sessions made it sound like they have made more improvements than anyone else, especially with aero.

Looking forward to Aprilia having more possibilities of getting manufacture points. No longer running Superbike, they need some more wide spread interest in the name...only about 50 dealers in the country at the moment. It's nice to see some US based interest the MotoGP again.

I'm still waiting for Indy to come back into the schedule

From the rumors you may have to settle for Nashville before a return to Indy.

Good news for US fans. :celebrate: Almost sounds too good to be true. It will be interesting to see what actually gets broadcast and how much is accessible outside of streaming paywalls.

You can watch basically all the races here. And by "all" I mean far more than just MGP.

Ducati is locking up riders for next season already. They previously announced that Bagnaia had signed a contract for 2025 & 2026. Well now they've signed Aldeguer to a 2-year deal starting next season.

We can only hope!
I can see them entering the fray in 2027 with the new rules going in to effect.
Fingers crossed...

It sounds like Dorna's sale of MotoGP (and WSBK) is going to go through, with Liberty Media forking over and estimated €4.4B.
Not sure that's such a great thing to be merged under the same owner with F1.

I can't believe he's staying with Yamaha. They must have offered him a huge chunk of change to stay on an underperforming bike for 2 more years. He hasn't won a race since the German GP in June 2022

Looks like I was right, money talks. According to reports, Fabio is now the highest paid rider in GP with a €12m base salary before incentives. That is about double what Bagnaia is getting at Ducati.

Yamaha is now reportedly pursuing adding a satellite team, something they desperately need to keep pace with other brands. There's just not enough data collected and shared with only 2 bikes on the grid.
