I've still got this T20 here I am trying to sell, and the seals where the downpipe meet the muffler on one side have given up, and are dribbling 2 stroke splooge on the floor. The red rubber seals have given up.

The seals from Suzuki are of course NLA, so what does the group suggest to use in their place?

what is the size? i had to source some for the 500. it wasnt easy, persay but i found them. (regular double lipped seals).
i'm glad i didn't see that bike at the gap or id own it. dammit i like that thing.

Sorry to be slow getting back to you Mark, we have the builders in this week and they are using the garage to cut wood and stuff so can't get to the bike. I know the circumference is 2.71 inches. I was experimenting with red plumbers rubber gaskets last week to see if I could build that up in layers.

I found out the gaskets for the GT series don't fit after I bought a pair.....too small.

what's the Id od and depth roughly in mm?

Simoniz

At the joint....

The down pipe od is 38mm.

The muffler od is 42mm.

Depth of the seal is about 30mm and should be stepped like the GT series seals.

If you can point me at a suitable seal, I'd be grateful.

Google oas-38x48x10-fpm  if it is indeed 30mm deep, stack a few per side. this is what used in the t500 (material). temps good over 400, it doesn't really get that hot there believe it or not.

I was thinking a seal for a G3SS/KH100 might work....

if it's like my t500, and im 99% sure it is, its literally an oil seal.

I came across a G3SS pipe I didn't know I had and thought of this. Measurements match above. I actually have a T20 also I was planning to restore but my local chrome shop has closed permanently so I'm skipping it for now. Anyway, this was the seal I was planning on trying knowing I probably couldn't get the originals. They both connect with a long seal and a clamp band. Also that Kawi seal fits S1 S2 etc so I think there may be cheaper reproductions available.
