I did a search and found nothing on the subject of replacing the main nozzles on my 1974 RD 250A without damaging the threads form threads that the main jet screws into. The old ones were solidified and were damaged on the way out and I do not want to damage the new main nozzles on assembly. any advice on what to use would be great.

   Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
I was writing a long-winded response to your original question but saw that you had posted again while I was writing. So, glad you got it figured out.

There's a small locating dowel in the bore to hold the tube in place. Make sure that's still there and the groove on the tube is aligned with it. If you're reusing the old needle jets make sure to clean them well and get all the holes cleared.
