I the oil tank window on my RD350 is weeping.  The talcum powder (actually cornstarch) shows that the leak is between the 45 year old rubber gasket and the once clear plastic insert.  Before going to the trouble of replacing the window (which I know is the right thing to do) I thought I'd try to clean between the rubber and plastic and seal the gap with Krazy Glue.  Has anybody had any success with that?  I figure that there is no breakage as long as I keep the Krazy glue off the tank itself.

Id use clear windshield 'flowing' silicone. clean area out with brake clean, dry,  and let that stuff flow in, wont take much at all. you'll need to pull tank and drain and lay on back to do so. let dry for about 12 hours.  or use 2 part clear epoxy and let it flow in.

Thanks, Mark.  I'll give the flowing silicone a try.  Thanks for the steer.
