This has got to be a scam, I stumbled on it on Philadelphia CL last week.  I did find his description amusing.. speed being a subjective answer and all..  Also it takes a certain type of person to write about the gravity of ownership of a vehicle like this.

I have to admit, I think it is 100% legit...  this guy sounds exactly like I would picture him, as the overly proud owner of this kart.  Good luck to anyone who gives this a go...

Yeah I got a lot of the stuff he is wanting to trade too but I wouldn't let any of it go for this thing. It's worth whatever the chassis would bring plus a little for fun currency.

Not a big 'fan' (pun) of a modded Turbo turbojet project. If it has an hour on it it's probably junk. A friend of mine was messing with these for a couple of years. It's hell on a turbo to add combustion temps to the mix. And I doubt it was a new turbo when he started. They blow up. $1500 tops and mostly for novelty value.

No doubt I would like to take it for a spin. On a runway. Because it probably takes 1/4 mile to get to 60mph or he would be bragging about accel.

Race kart plus cash? My last Kart was $8k 25 years ago. It isn't worth that now but... Ok so he doesn't say what he expects to get as far as condition. An FZR400 went for $7k on Ebay. But I don't think he means projects. Telefunken tube mics? Nope. MacIntosh amps? Uhhh. No. Rolex or PP or Omega watch? Nein. RZ? Not even close. Forget any of the cars he wants because they are worth more as barn finds except the Pinto. I could see a bicycle or maybe a guitar.

If it were finished a little nicer maybe I would think better of it. It looks rough. One thing for sure. You could quite thoroughly kill yourself in this. Spectacularly. Probably without even making an error.
