Recommended break in is complete.

Dyno testing shows an average of 12-14 extra HP at the rear tire with this combo....on top of the 217 at the crank

As I briefly mentioned last year, that I had gone to Bonneville as a bucket list item I had to do. Initially the plan was to take my RGV VJ21-SP, but time and Covid changed that, and I eventually took my Hayabusa instead in 2021. Bonneville was also where I wanted to spread my dads ashes, as it is the birthplace of speed, and my dad lived to go fast.
I finally put together a very short clip of that together.

Bonneville was rained out in 2022, but I am hoping I can have the $$$ and logistics figured out to be there to go faster in 2023

Swapped out the velocity stacks on my RSV4 a while back, and reprogrammed it again.
Not that I needed the few extra HP....but I thought I did





Removed some unneeded euro5 emission crap.








Then wired in a tether kill going into my kickstand wiring to get through tech at top speed events.

I put a number on it...





Was able to pull a 160.26 out of it on the 1/2 mile run.
Pretty average, but I'm over 60 and haven't run on a dragstrip in well over 25 years.
Not happy, but satisfied.

I was using the Indy Airstrip Attack as a test run with the bike, as well as testing me, on hanging onto something with close to 210HP at the tire. I saw where Bonneville got rain when the SCTA was setting up and running... the track looked awful with a rough pot holed surface. I kinda figured that the AMA might call it when it was their turn several week later to run. The extra rain made it official. 
I think I'm starting to get old though as the RSV4 pulls so damn intense that I question my ability to keep it held down and straight at full throttle in 6th... on the salt...
Even though the bike has wings on the front, it was still feeling pretty light at the airport.
But I'm addicted to how it sounds and pulls, which is why my strokers have been collecting dust.

In Costa Rica for the week
Doing some diving, deep sea fishing, a bit of body surfing...and some riding...
Quite the adventure on red mud,clay mountain roads rutted from all the rain that comes in during rain season, but the KTM I'm on makes it easier.

Survived the week.
Caught some fish and found some sharks...and lots of rain, bringing the crocodiles down to the beach restaurant area.








Back in the garage... still waiting on my crank/cylinder to come back from Bill Bune for the TM400.

Tried to make full use of my Aprilia's new found HP this year, using a tune eliminating any restrictions in 1st and 2nd gear. Along with the bare minimum of intervention from the computer on wheelie control and traction control...

Needless to say it truly was scaring the F¥€K out of me, as I tied to resist letting off the throttle as the front continued to barely skip on the runway for a 1/2 mile. I needed more runs to get a grip on the way the bike was reacting, but out of the 5 runs I did, I managed to beat last years number by 6 MPH....
....166.62 in the standing 1/2 mile.

I think I have found my limit of HP on two wheels....but something tells me I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

I know the bike can hit well over 170+.....

Recommissioning my 88 FZR1000
97 YZF1000 swingarm,wheel,brake set up, a pair of 86 TZ250 front rotors, and a set of JDM Brembo calipers, along with a complete rebuild of the forks, to get it more roadworthy.
Then get a battery and try to find paperwork on it to get some plates...
