Make sure you have a good set of points, I was running on a very bad set that would arch (even though I changed out the condensor) and my spark was really really poor. Got a dyna ignition (nick s) and it gave me a strong spark for what I was missing on my bike. They sell refresh kits, would highly suggest that if your points are old.

Should you run resistor plugs with Nick's Dyna System?

You can, just don't run resistor caps and resistor plugs, none, or one or the other, but never both unless you have electronic tach that's sensitive to RF.

i run resistor NGK caps, non resistor plugs BP8HS or B8HS . next is to use Dyna 3.00 ohm coils to boost spark

If you run non-resistor caps, it's easier to find plugs at auto parts stores in resistor type in stock, non-resistor plugs are usually a order in item.

I double checked my coils set purchase from economy cycle and they are the resistor caps. I guess I will continue using non-resistor plugs. I could always go back to using the stock caps and run resistor plugs.

NGK makes a non-resistor cap, but need plugs that you can take off the top cap to have pin threads.
A lot of resistor plugs come solid top.

I use MSD wire crimp on terminals and boots. (Use for solid tops)
I buy in bulk so about $10 a set

stock caps have 5 ohm resistors in them (which -can- actually be bypassed). get new the ngk caps if you dont like the ones from economy, or keep using them. they are cheap for replacements as well. you can run autolite 4092 plugs (its a 9 series and dirt cheap at any parts store. (they have a screw off cap like any ngk 'h' series') or b8hs, usually also available at most parts store . 5510 is the automotive number there.

Resistor NGK LB05EP are the 5K ones if you want a stock replacement on the RD's.

You mentioned timing with the timing light for a neutronic style ignition, that's what I have is the old school style one and I'm having trouble getting this thing timed because I don't have the light built into the box like the new ones that have. I believe I saw you posting on another thread as well about timing with the timing light. Can I input the degrees that you have on there from the chart that you posted into a timing gun and go off of that?

m in sc

yes. degrees are degrees. if you time an OLD newtronics, do it in a dark environment and shield the pickups as they are light sensors. the timing light will throw off the sensors of they see the light from it. Im being dead serious.

I have a garage I can make relatively dark so that works, I think it said 18.88° from your previous post so just set the timing light at that and shield those sensors? I probably need to use a dial indicator and make a new mark on the rotor right? Any recommendation to shield the old neutronic pick up? I was thinking about putting a soda cap over it or something like that.
