Howdy! I've bought replacement spokes. Can I use the front forks along with the axle by placing them USD, lashed to a big old vise to true them rims for the RD350, or do I need to buy a truing stand? Appreciate the guidance, thanks!

Ive done it on the bike with the front end lifted up and a wire indicator taped to the fork before. That way you can fit the wheel and bounce the forks to make sure everything is aligned and forks are not binding and the hub is true between the forks before starting.
A truing stand is a bit more convenient, and can also be used to balance the wheel after fitting a tire, but not necessary for a one time job.

I made a trueing stand out of plywood and 2x4's. Its long since been repurposed but it worked great.

Many thanks Rodney & SavOr.
Since it's going to be a one time use, will proceed with the fork set-up.
