Hey Busa, thanks for the advice on my 400 top end . I changed up on the color and I got it all back together and presentable at this stage,I need to spend some time on my RGV. Your bike will be amazing! I may have some engine parts if you need seals and such.what ignition are you going to run?

That green looks really good with those decals...look like from a TM...?
Hope you get it dialed in good and can get some use out of it.
Sadly mine is not close to rideable yet.

On a completely different note...
I now have TZ250 rear wheel for my TZR after years of searching...and it came with a matching TZ front wheel as well. From a 1991 3YL with dimensions of 3.5x17 and 5.25x17 along with my TZ Brembo 282 rotors.
The search for parts is basically over...time to find time to rebuild.

TM400 close ratio trans



New Wiseco piston



Ported TM400 cylinder



Holding 5 psi for over 15 minutes...



It's ready for some shiny covers and then the timing and wiring...

After setting my Vape flywheel to get the TM spec 19.5 degrees....

It is considerably louder than the video might suggest...sounds good to me, but might get some unappreciative looks by those I scream past.

Closer to the finish line...

Sent chrome bits out to get refinished



Correct fitting original style turn signals are impossible to find (used only 2 years with just this model) so I adapted some from a T500








A new nos 12 volt headlight to replace the original 6 volt




New gauge housings and 7000 redline tach that now matches the speedo (had mismatched gauges)



Getting the beat and abused tank back in shape.






















And tail light basically back to new...



Bike is ready for its fresh bodywork, after I get tank sanded down and ready for the original styled decal, then cleared one more time.

I think it's bark will be just vicious as it's bite when moving to the upper end of rev range.
Definitely likes to fight while trying to kick it over.

That is a very stunning resto mod of a bike. I envy those rims I would love to replace the stock rims of my RD250B with some of those excel aluminum rims or something like them.

I imagine that iteration of that bike feels a lot more lighter and nimble than as stock.

With all those strokers in the stable and the mighty Busa, you're not only living the dream most of us have but making us jealous at the same time.

It's a struggle to keep them all running all the time. And restraining myself on what to change and what to keep as original.
The TM/TS has had a few short trips down the road, but still trying to get jetting reasonably close before I take it for a real test ride.
I really hate the tuning part of dealing with 2 strokes.

With tank emblems, and ready to run.
It will never be as clean as it is right here....
