Yes, I understand why people cut them in half, but I'm not interested in cutting apart this head.  I'll find a big enough lathe eventually, or someone who wants to run it in a CNC mill.

I was hoping to be back on the road by my birthday in April, but didn't quite make it.  However, I did make it in time for Dad's 80th birthday last week.  He jumped right on and away we went, with me trying to keep up on his 125 Honda.

I ordered some oil pump check valves, since one of them seems to be leaking, and I think I'll go down one size on the main jet.  But it's pretty close to done. (for now)

Thank you to everyone here that offered parts and answered questions.  Go for a ride!

I do the GT750 heads on the mill, the hardest part is fixturing them. Never met two of them that weren't fairly different. Not sure on the head you have, but it's certainly possible to do heads on the mills.

Chris, I have a stock 79 Daytona Special one-piece head that I'd like to "modernize".  I haven't researched enough to know what that entails besides updated squish bands.  If you have any interest in the machine work please let me know.  Thanks!

That's awesome! Congrats on the build completion and belated happy birthday to dad :toot:
