How have y'all typically dealt with large elevation changes while you're riding?
I've been thinking about doing a ride from Seattle, WA to Leavenworth, WA on my RD350 for a while now. However I'm not sure how my bike is going to act, as the ride starts out at sea level, hits a peak of 4,000' around stevens pass and then goes back down to 1,168' at leavenworth.
I know the rule of thumb is to lean out your jetting every 2000' of elevation so should I just be prepared to stop at the side of the road to swap out jets? The highest I've ever taken my bike is from sea level to 2000' and I didn't notice any ill effects while riding around there.

My RZ350 and I have lived in Washington together in Washington since 1987, first in Ellensburg, then Olympia and since 2007 in Chehalis and Centralia. We've navigated Blewett pass, White pass, Snoqualmie and Stevens passes, traveled to Laguna Seca twice; all w/o rejetting. Unless you're jetted to the razor's edge of perfection, don't worry about it.
I post waayyy too much

Wade is right, just ride it and you'll be fine.  But, you will use way more 2-stroke oil than you expect.  I wouldn't be surprised if it took over a tank to get to Leavenworth and back.

Hit me up if you head to Leavenworth on a weekend, I'll try to meet you there for a burger or beer.  I'm only 20 miles away.
