I picked up a project bike and am slowly going thru it (frame). The previous owner utilized the OEM hubs and had new wheels laced in with larger tires.  While reassembling the bike, I noticed that the front fender will not fit due to the tire width.  I searched the forum and found that Honda CB650 fenders are an option.  I wanted to know if anyone had some pictures of their bike with this on it and what year(s) of Honda CB would potentially work or other viable solutions to have a front fender.

or, a smaller tire. 100 is about as big as you want to go

that being said, you can get a nighthawk (82-83 650) fender to fit. however,  the stock fender acts as a brace. so aside from the decreased handling from a big tire, youll lose rigidity unless you add a brace.

some early xs650 fenders will bolt on as well

Thanks for the quick reply.  The front tire is a 100/90-18 Pirelli Sport Demon. With regards to the Yamaha XS650 fender, is this a direct bolt on with the integral bracket? Please let me know.

Thanks

i think so.

odd a 100 won't fit, ive uaed them before when a 90 wasnt available

Thanks again,  Is their a certain year or years of the XS650 that fit?  I saw a few on Ebay and appears that they have a pretty big range, some are much nicer than others based upon early or later years

My RD has a 2015 Yamaha SR400 fender I bought off Ebay for cheap. It was a slightly damaged dealer take-off according to the seller (barely visible light scratch)  If memory serves I had to elongate the mount bracket holes just a touch. Here's a pic

Much appreciated, The stock fender on mine will not fit over the tire as the integral fork brace "indents" on each side and gets caught on the major diameter of the tire.  Quick research of the SR400 fender has the mounting points inline with the fender as it is wider altogether.  Thank You

British bike parts suppliers can sell you fender "blanks", available in different lengths and widths, in mild steel, stainless or aluminium

I have a later version of a TZ350 fender on my RD350. It's a fiberglass replica. Probably Airtech?
This one:

It does fit an RD350 even though the fork spacing is different. Installation was super easy.

There are a few that would probably fit there:

Airtech is now owned/manufactured by GP Cycleworks.

I've since radically changed my RD, but the clearance with a 90/90 and XS fender was pretty close. It MIGHT work, but you'll have to cut the mount holes to make it work with a 90/90. Wish I took more pictures back then!
