Yes! I like the blue scheme

My favourite colour.

Did I say the wheels are done?

I'm very pleased :)

The build looks great.  Can't wait to see the final product.

Thank you...I'm a kinda lookin' forward to it myself ;)

Throttle cable to be extended today by 3-4". Photos to follow...it's not done yet.

Cables lengthened by 2" today

and working well with the Domino twister.

I now have clutch, throttle and oil pump cables all adjusted.

Wheels are down the bike shop awaiting my ordered 130/70 tyre to match the front.

Should have rubber by mid next week.

Ha, you say that....the job list doesn't seem any shorter, but I hope to have it up the road at least, running, steering, changing gear and stopping.....then tear it all down to sort the frame....and then build it all back up again.

Did you mean this summer? :)

Well, quick update...I'm positive the powdercoated wheels and tank/bodywork paint don't match.....bugger. I'll be chcking them together tomorrow as the wheels are at the shop awaiting tyres...

In the meantime, I mounted the carbs and gave them a wet fuel test...came out dry.

You have a cable stretcher? I've always wanted one.

Ahh...get ya....wringing the arse off of it...haha!

We did make the single part of the 1-3 throttle cable...hope it holds. ;)

Fire in the hole.....first start up went well, first time ever  :celebrate:

https://youtu.be/RaX-dj8GzXM

The knocking is a leaking exhaust connection, nothing to worry about. Running it on 2stroke mix until I sort/prime the oil pump.

We had a couple of goes at it to be honest, but our makeshift tank had to fill the carbs and a teeny squirt of 'Start ya Bastard' did the trick. Long way to go but a fire up is a fire up and mo mistake guv'nor :)

This is all thanks to my son, who popped in for Father's Day to finalise some of the wiring.
I now have dip and main beam headlight, horn and of course a running engine...did I mention the engine runs? ;)

Wow! You will turn some heads when they hear that electric starter and then it fires.

RustyRD

:whoop: :whoop:Great when they fire up and no parts fly off. Congrats :whoop: :whoop:

Never any question of it starting up, it had no choice! Great work Colin, I assume the electric starter will only be used in emergencies?
