After exactly 30 days on a slow boat, my NOS R5 switches arrived from Indonesia to NJ.  I was really happy to find this, here they are side by side with the originals.  The housing is somewhat wider than the on I had, but it sure appears 'correct' , the wiring colors and connectors are right.....

Found them on EBay US, shipped from Indonesia...

They appear to be legitimate NOS, but they are from something other than an R5.  Probably DS6/CS5/R3 (which I know nothing about).  Or, possibly Asian market and 'different' than US???  They are wider than the set originally on my bike, and the wires exit differently BUT wiring is correct, everything is indeed embossed.  The plastic switches are exact.  But, no actual Yamaha marking which my original did.

After looking up images of DS6, DS7, R5, CS5, and R3 they all have grey sheathing and this style switch but all the pics I found are too low resolution to zoom in for an exact match.  Anyone recognize them from an earlier, grey wire model???

i seriously doubt they are nos since the ad states: Brand New Aftermarket Parts.

I'm not disparaging it at all, they look great for the $, but ive never seen an nos set w/out the letters embossed into the casting.  :twocents:
