anyone know of a place or have direct experience with a company that makes rubber brake lines or sells a DIY kit ?

I'm thinking I can use my old brake line springs and rubber mounts and then transfer them onto the new brake line and then swage the fittings on last - this way the lines and the bike still looks all original.

I found this link posted below however I would like to use a rubber line instead of a stainless line

anyways I thought I'd ask the group

Check with your favorite local car mechanic. I had a line made for a customer's old Yamaha once upon a time by a small car repair place, while I waited.

What about finding the smallest OD braided line available,  and just fit a rubber brake hose over it, before swaying? Should be doable,  I think. That way it has modern functionality and old school looks. Alternatively, find a braided hose with a black vinyl sleeve over the braid. Unsleeved SS braid can ruin alloy and plastic parts if allowed to rub, gouged my Duc Monster fork leg pretty bad once...,

A few years ago, I faced this same concern for the front brake lines with my 72 Kaw H2. I used HEL and opted for black braided stainless front brake lines (stock H2 uses 2 short lines with a splitter). I mailed them my upper line as I wanted the spring around the new assembled one for a stock look. They were able to honor that request and built both lines which do look very close to stock. No issues with the lines over the years and they build quality lines.
