The biker claimed he was thrown 200 feet and walked away with minor injury   Surely he must've been wearing some decent riding gear and thrown/landed just right. What a lucky dude!

I can't stress wearing protective riding gear enough. It's a challenge sometimes with the summer heat but what would the result be otherwise?...probably be road pizza and them some.  :bacon:

I'm living proof that one can walk away from a vicious crash.  On July 31, 2003, I totalled my bike and the car I hit; was treated for a skinned knee, scraped shoulder and a sprained thumb, and back to work in 3 1/2 hours.

FWIW, bike was an '84 BMW, bought it back from insurance, rebuilt and restored it.  It now has 302K miles on it.
