:umm: nothing.

Well... I'm at a loss, then. I'd like to take you up on your offer. I can send you the money via PayPal if that works for you.

i sent you an email directly, let me know if you get it.

I would encourage a different email, gmail accounts get snagged by most filters.  i remove 40-50 spam accounts a day that are gmail accounts. just fyi.

I got the carb today. Thanks for getting it out so quickly.

I didn't realize from the pics how marred the ball tube was. It looks like it would be difficult to tap and fit a grub screw like I've seen others do. Any advice here?

m in sc

leave it open. ? theres room to do it i think though. ive run a few sets open, never an issue

ElFuegoBlanco

Interesting. I didn't realize that was an option. Should the ball on the other carb be removed to match?

Also, what's the best way to remove the main jet fitting from the old carb and fit in the new one?

m in sc

yup, you can run them open. needs to be taken out to be cleaned anyway.

the jet tube? what -i- do is soak the carb, wd 40 or carb cleaner. take jet out, take washer out. thread just jet back in, no washer, *gently* tap the jet tube out towards the 'top' of the carb. if it wont move, soak more. better to use a jet you wont mind replacing.

ElFuegoBlanco

Exactly what I needed to know. Thanks.
(Hopefully) lastly, any advice on removing the washer? Just a good soak?

m in sc

washer under the main jet? just comes out. might need to pry a bit, but very little.

Just like Mark says above ^
I like to use a small flat head tip screw driver to pry gently. You won't hurt anything.

For stuck needle jets I use an old plastic chop stick and carefully tap it out after removing the main jet and washer. Works great and the plastic is soft enough that I've never had any issues with damage to the jet. For really dirty carbs I give all the pieces a once over with a toothbrush after disassembly then they go into the ultrasonic tank. Before I had the ultrasonic I used Berryman Chemdip
