Thanks
Hope to get a little testing in soon.
It is off the table now, and waiting for just a couple more items to get it rolling.

That is an amazing collection of hard parts, but what's more impressive to me is the time, patience and determination you've invested into this project. As difficult as it can be to find bits for old bikes that were sold on these shores once upon a time, I can't imagine what you've gone through to make THAT a reality. Really, hats off man.
I post waayyy too much

Thank you for understanding the complex nature of my projects.
I seem to like to torture myself at times with obscure outreaches of two stroke hardware.

Its an addiction...

VJ21 SP / VJ22 SP/ VJ23 SP/ RS250 / (VJ22N on table....just sold last week)
All the SP bikes are dry clutch, including my 3XV2 (not in picture).....The VJ21 is a dry clutch conversion from a VJ22 SP....There was never a dry clutch VJ21 from the factory.

Snow still on the ground, but had one day last week to get the VJ21 SP out and test the quickshifter and the 34 Mikuni settings.
Only about 15 miles of riding (spent the rest of the free time on my RSV4) but that was enough to tell me the quickshifter worked perfectly.
The Back to factory carb settings felt better than the Lectrons, but still have an issue at full throttle, which I believe is more an issue with the TPS than carbs (the Lectrons showed a similar problem)

I gave up on trying to get Lectrons to work...dyno time and 3 different sets of needles got me up into the 70's at the rear wheel, but then bike was unridable below redline.... With the addition of the new RSV4, squeezing extra HP with this 33 year old bike is just too much trouble and will wear out irreplaceable parts faster.
Will get back on the dyno again in another month or two when I get more time to ride and play with jetting and the TPS, but should still be in the mid 70's at the rear when finally done. Will be able to have the stock airbox back on as well, which I think may have been a small parts of the Lectron issue also. (Lectrons were in a different position and different dimensions, so atrbox would not work....just Uni's)

The new Aprilias are pretty amazing, aren't they?

I am very happy I bought one finally.
I have wanted a RSV4 since they first came out over 10 years ago.
But with the 217HP of the new bike....I couldn't say no any longer.

I have a Tuono Factory and I'm in love. This weekend I reflashed the ECU with Open Flash Tablet, and fitted a DNA air filter and a Austin Racing GP-1 slip-on. Currently using the Aprilia Race Map which cleaned up the low end throttle response. What a sound! I can't imagine another 20hp. The OFT reflash process was pretty easy and straightforward. It also allows you to reload the stock mapping for those trips to the dealer lol.
Have fun!

I got my T-800 to reflash my computer from AF1 racing, and I have 3 tunes included in the initial price.
All tunes done by Gabro racing in Italy....Now that mine has the RACE on the screen, I have come to find out my turn signals are now in my headlights and not my mirrors (euro style)
Getting that cat off really helped the bike run and sound like it was meant to be.
Problem is I feel like I should be going 100mph plus ALL the time now....

Hope you have a trouble free life with your TV4

Yeah AF1 is the place to go for Aprilia stuff. Can you read "Maintenance Codes" or whatever they're called with the T-800? With the OFT, I downloaded the Aprilia Race Map and Gabro's STG II and STG III maps. I'm saving up for the Gabro RSV airbox swap and velocity stacks. Definitely hard NOT to go 100 all of the time haha. It's too easy.
Be safe out there.
