NGK Spark Plug Upgrade

Looks like the BR8EIX is the stock option.  Stick w/ stock plugs or upgrade? Would they be as reliable? Ruthenium plugs are N/A for the RD400.  I can tell you on my 2006 Honda Civic that the Ruthenium plugs idle better, smoother off the bottom and right where the torque curve is, it is a little quicker revving.  I ran a cheap set of G NGK's (interim) and it was terrible...hesitant off the bottom and engine even sounded like it was struggling.

I think I read (especially w/ iridium/Rutheniums), that it should require less spark energy or easier on the ignition.

Ignition is XR700 Fireball (for the RD, NOT the Honda  ).

ive never had issues with regular b9es or b8es. ive run iridiums , had them in the RZ but for no other reason than i just wanted to try them. they are more forgiving against fouling, like leaving the choke on too long, etc, but otherwise no real need.

Will stick w/ the stock plugs.  BTW, those plugs I pulled off the motor I am working on were black on the rim and dark chocolate over everything.  Planning on new XR700 & 3/5 ohm coil.  The other CDI's look like a bit of work...eh the electricals especially.   The fireball works better than the original allison / crane ignition.  On the RD350, it (allison) would "lurch" if you hit a bump...very unsettling while ripping along.  I haven't noticed the "lurch" on the RD400.
