Not good for the USA round. It had already been rescheduled for Nov 15 but now they've stuck Valencia in that spot. :whatever:  MotoAmerica, which runs with MotoGP is still planned for that weekend. What a cluster F.

MotoGP restarts this weekend in Jerez

And a few minutes ago Rossi announced that he is "99% certain" he will be joining Petronas Yamaha SRT for the 2021 season. So he and Quartararo are basically trading spots.

What's with the commentators banging on Rossi today? He was nicely on pace, Quartaroro being the exception. Sure Rossi was a bit squirrelly early on, but once he found the rhythm he was solid. Rossi put on a master class, so late on the brakes, precision late apexes time and time again. Vinales found himself lucky to learn from Rossi, and it managed him the better at the flag. It just proves what grit and experience actually means. Fabio certainly has loads of potential, and I look forward to watching him.

Ducati has really found something with that bike. It gets out of the corner with so much squat, it hardly ever wheelies despite what is an ultimate power advantage. It's really something. They need a top rider and they are bound for a championship.

I'm worried about Yamaha as the season goes on. The top speed deficit is going to be a killer on the faster tracks. They were down 8-10kph to the Ducs and Hondas at Jerez which has a very short straight.

And with a 5-engine limit their biggest challenge for the season is not going to be the other riders but the rules. They are likely to exhaust their engine allotment before the season is over. There were rumors that Maverick had used 2 already. And with a mystery engine failure that has affected riders during the race in successive races they have issues.

A lot of interesting action in the first 2 weeks of the restart. Today's Moto3 race had a podium injury. When has that ever happened?  And in Moto2 the 2nd and 3rd place finishers, who are teammates, crashed into each other on the cool down lap while trying to celebrate. How often does that happen?

The two weekends of racing in Spain were amazing and Yamahas seemed to do OK....

I have only caught the MotoGP on NBC so I haven't caught up with Moto2 or 3, but it looks like it will be a very interesting rest of season.
