fair q. I got my 1st MC at age 20 actually, im 50 now. (before that was all cars, cars, cars).

currently i own (and they all run/ride/etc)

yamaha twins:

74 rd350 lc hybrid (white bike liquid cooled)
74? rd350 lightweight. (4130 framed bike)
70 R5, stock . (Barney)
72 R5, not stock but not crazy
72 DS-7, stock
67 YL1E (stock)
87 TZR250

Kawasaki:
67 C2TR 120 (actually rode it to work today)

Suzuki:
72 T500. Mostly stock.

Honda:

'14 CB1100

21 trail125. drifitng alarmingly away from stock. 

'14 grom with 86 suzuki LT250R quadracer motor swap.

so, currently, 12.  I've had as many as 14 at 1 time.

Wife has a 21 Honda supercub, that's hers 100%. (I wasn't even there when she bought it.  )


how many have i owned? and i only count running/riding bikes... (i dont have parts bikes laying around either)

beats me, has to be over 100 by this point. Ive had every Kaw triple, at least 2x (some bore) except an S1/KH250, a stack of CB750s (sohc), ducati, a ktm, and all sorts of other stuff... never  a cruiser, def never a harley  . I have worked on and ridden them, nope. Closest thing i've had was a kawasaki concours (2x).  I don't buy bikes to flip, ever, just fyi.
