Does anyone know of a aftermarket one or one that I could get at a automotive store. Mine is gone or I would measure it.

I'm kinda wanting to leave my new specII pipes in the raw and wondered if anyone has used VHT clear with any success? Thank you in advance. Ashley

Well I was getting really close to finishing my build and went to double check some things and when. Shifting the bike I cannot find neutral and in one gear the engine will only rotate about 90 degrees and stops with a firm stop.? I just don't get it? I am 99% sure of the transmission install but could it be the shift drum? I am at a total loss, I have done numerous transmission issues bent forks etc. But obviously I have screwed something up this time. I am actually sick over it! I certainly don't want to take it down to the cases again but if I must I will.. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ashley

Turning Wrenches / Ok guys clutch recommendations ..
April 16, 2019, 09:33:35 PM
This bike is a early RD 350 and was truly a basket case or should i say several baskets . This is my first RD ground up build and just trying to learn as i go . Looking at this clutch basket my first thought is that there is no way that i should start with a friction plate due to the lack of surface area for it to mate to . Now after reading stuff on the internet i am totally confused . Different combinations of clutch plate thickness etc . All of my friction plates are 3.0mm and steels are flat and no signs of hot spots (bluing). Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated . Thank you in advance . Ashley

Haus of Projects / My R5/RD 350 project

Bought the RD as a basket case then scored a really clean R5 roller. The engine has been rebuilt from crankshaft up. Got some new specll pipes from Gary. Saving for a good ignition. I'm not too thrilled about having to hack on the frame to mount the pipes though.
