Turning Wrenches / petcock sizing
April 04, 2022, 08:29:38 PM
I have a Benelli tank with the weird 10mm petcock size, one for each carb.. i am running vm28s on an rd400 with just chambers and the castings cleaned up (nothing crazy). all the petcock i find to fit chocke down to what i measure as a 1/4 inch.. if i feed each carb separately would that provide enough fuel without worrying about starvation?
appreciate any thought or solutions.

u'll love it, i miss my duck, not as much as the agusta but it was great bike.
i maybe wrong, but if you plan on any aftermarket pipes etc, you have a limited source in order to reflash the ecu. i learned the hard way on my bmw..

Welcome from another Ft. Worth resident!  I'm in WedgHood and I'm resto-modding a '74 RD350.
We stay in the hills of white settlement. But my buddy owns a shop off 35 and golden triangle.   The front half is where they specialize in Toyota trucks but the back half where I get to play we do nothing but 750 plus hp stuff. Mainly LS swaps but we just started a twin turbo  feeding a supercharged hellcat motor swap  that is going into a Chrysler 300. Customer has stupid money... He owns PRs in the stockyards.
Anyway you know any good twistys in the area?  I'm originally from east Texas and just haven't found any great routes yet..

hey all, economy cycle recommended this forum to me. i purchased a few 2 strokes and NOS parts about 10 years ago and now im semi retired, so its time to go thru some of them. first on the build is my wifes rd350 followed very closely by my rd400. i had the engines built a few years back but due to life i have to go thru them again. thanks for the forum and the vast info i have found so far..
i am quite sure now after reading alot of older threads i have no idea what im doing lol.
