I grew up in the most western part of Westgermany with those mini screamers.A friend in those times had an old quite worn RS which we modded with the time to a new model.Many parts from the new models did fit plug&play.Later my buddy started working and gifted himself with a few parts from the Netherlands where van Veen was THE source for speedfreaks like we were.So he bought a nice van Veen set with cylinder etc which did push his toy with the 2 of us on it up to 75 mph on the Autobahn.Still not very fast 😉,a neighbour of mine in my ghetto,yes we had such too,had modded his with more brute parts.He managed to get clocked in our ghetto with almost 100 mph what got him a little note in the local newspaper beside the fat ticket 😂

Wow, West Germany. Not something you hear anymore. I worked for Lufthansa in the mid 80s-late 90s. I would bet few people under 60 in the US would know anything about that.

He was doing ok, up until the candy paint on the cases.

That kinda killed it for me.

The side covers are very, well super, yea, very something... Not my taste. 

I personally do not start looking forward to the next deals gap meet until the last day half way home..

Any way you go about it. It is going to suck.The kit I ordered worked well but I had to boil the stripper to make the old Caswell break loose. If it is Kreem it may come put easier. If nothing else since you want to save the paint, order the paint protector. Mechanical fingers are your friend for pulling the sheets of sealant out through the fill hole. Patience is the key.

I figured this was going to be a crappy and tedious job. Not looking forward to it. I'll get some of the protector stuff first. Caswell and Kreem both offer it.

I'm going to have to wait until it warms up a bit to do this because it's been super foggy here, only about 60F and over 90% humidity. One of them says not to apply below 70F and with how damp it is here nothing's going to dry.

That Mark, is one awesome bike. Amazing power, handles great, looks sexy as hell, but you know that...

I'm sure they are junk and likely not going to fit and will not look like that but, wow, love they way they look in the photo.

No not the bike weight. The rims sure seem light BUT, when I weighed the wheels agents stock with AVONs weight was the same.
I am told the continental classic are heaver.

I saw it at the gap this year and I hear it now. Wow, I covet your bike. I bet it is a hoot to ride.
