Highly Collectible Rare last year RD 400. 1979 was the last year for the US model F Daytona Special. What you're looking at here is the G model sold in Canada and Europe. It was considered the best most powerful RD made. Mostly because it didn't have to comply with any smog requirements and the electronic CDI ignition. Very low miles the speedo is in Kilometers 6211 which is only 3844 miles. The bike is mostly original except for mirrors and front fender paint. In addition, last year I replaced the original Yokohama tires with Continental Classic Attack Radials, drive chain, air filter, brake pads, fuel lines, fork seals, and all fluids. This bike is very dependable and starts very easily. The 2 Stroke oil injection system works great and is still connected. The chrome, paint and seat are nearly 40 years old but for their age look good. The exhaust does have a ding as well as two in the gas tank largest shown in pictures. This is a very fun bike and gets lots of attention at the local vintage events (especially the other RD owners). All lights, turn signals and horn work. I have owned this bike for three years and it's in better condition than when I bought it. I want $6,500. I have more than that invested so please no low ball offers or trades. California title and current registration in hand.
