Hi All,

Got an RD400 from a friend. I find the front end is wobbly while riding, specially when applying rear brake. It has HVC golden color fork pipes which is rebuilt by a mechanic he said. I dismantled the fork and re assembled with new fork oil (nothing seems to be wrong) and the situation is same. May I know where to look. Could not figure out if it is the Tripple Tree. any help is much appreciated.

check neck bearings.

also wheel bearings.. and more importantly.... the rear swingarm bushings and axle alignment. bad swingarm bushings will shake the head around in some cases.

Dismantled the front end again and Checked the Wheel bearing, Looks good. Tripple tree also checked, bit tight it was. Will check the Swing arm and get back to you.
Thanks Mark

Update :

Found the issue. It is the rear wheel wobbling. Looks like a worn out bearing, need to dismantle today and update.
