FZR clutch frictions

Was wondering if someone could help me out and measure the the friction plates for the FZR 4H7-16321-02-00

I assumed most 88-95 fzr1000 friction plates were the same which lead me to order part:3GM-16321-00-00, but they take up too much room in the basket and I can't disengage the clutch. These measured at 3.45mm vs the stock 3.0 and I'm not using the O-Rings.

I wan't to make sure these plates are just too thick before spending another 70 dollars on plates just to find out I didn't adjust it right.

I don't have a 4H7 plate handy to measure but I think I recall reading somewhere that they are 3mm thick. I think the problem is the part you are using.
(Just as an FYI: The FZR clutch pack only uses 1 of the 3GM-16321-00-00 frictions and 8 of the 4H7-16321-02-00 frictions.)
Are you using the stock RD steels?

That makes perfect sense. I should of checked the FZR parts digram, didn't think it would have 2 different plates.

I used 4H7-16321-02 on my 75 RD and other than being a little noisy they work great.

I just measured a brand-new-out-of-the-bag Yamaha FZR1000/YZ250 4H7-16321-02-00 friction plate.
It's 3mm thick. (Exact meaurements were 2.99-3.02mm)
