What is the Purpose of this Dampner

So my bike does not have this.
I assume it would be to dampen where the front fairing hits round the headlite?

I did not think they would be that expensive tho.

No wonder why the headlite housing & wiring was so filthy.

Pass on that product too please as I purchased that same one and fitment is way off. See, I just saved you $50! 

Maybe I need to bring back the ones I was selling that serve the same purpose but are not 100% factory correct?

I would think since it cannot be seen & it is rubber, that non OEM would be acceptable.

As long as it does its job.

Anyone have a spare.

I was thinking of lubing up the fairing edge with ArmorAll, then sculpting some black Painters Caulk, as this is easily removed
