TZ125 on BAT

I hung out with a teenager at track days that had one of these. The thing would accelerate as fast as my hot rodded SV650 and when it came to braking and flicking it through the turns, the kid would go right by the guys on 600 SS bikes.

Looks very sharp, a scalpel for the track. Ok so I once owned a 2007 sv650s and I was under the impression that there isn't much in the way of motor mods that can be done to em to get more power. However that's not to say one can't do other things to make the sv650 perform better. Just curious, am I wrong?...and or what can one to "hot rod" a sv650. To put it in another way I was told that sv650's were pretty well optimized by Suzuki to make the most power they ever could, just not sure that's true and sorry to get off topic asking all that.

yeah thats what I recall of it and if I remember further still the power mods yielded modest gains like maybe only a couple hp?

when i was into  svs, i think around 80 hp was considered the most hp to get reliably (i could be wrong, its been about a decade) before shit started really going south. I know there were guys big boring them, etc, but that platform was so good as it was.

This is about what I remember as well.  I ran a 1st gen SV track bike for a while about 10 years ago and it was mostly suspension and brakes that were focused on.  in the end I moved to an R6 as I was tired of having new track riders blowing by me on the straight and then grabbing a ton of brakes way before I was even thinking about braking
